THE ART OF MAXIMIZING A MONDAY
Touché, August.
Didn't think you'd pull another Monday card to the table (well, maybe I had a hunch, but I was kind of hoping you wouldn't, just this once). Oh well, when life gives you Mondays, make meringue! I think it's only human to get caught up in daily tasks, reducing the magnificent to the mundane, only with the reason that it has become trivial. I personally take myself in doing this on many occasions, but I have now found a method to end the madness. It includes taking both hands off my overheated Qwerty keyboard, putting on my slippers and move my over-stimulated self down to the kitchen for a spoon of almond butter and take a deep breath. Nope, I'm actually serious, and I'm thinking of proposing this to councillors and coaches. Almond butter has powers, and it makes for a pretty good pre-coffee kick for early Monday mornings.
So in my serene almond butter on spoon moments (sorry, but the footage of this has been damaged..), it somehow always occurs to me how I really should be feeling and not how I am feeling. I remember being taught back in school, how nothing ever could be entirely objective, having been processed by the human mind. To this I can only feel relief, because the stress I am feeling is only the mere product of how I frame my reality. When it's framed differently, that exact same reality makes me feel
fortunate, empowered, passionate and positive.
So to all Mondays ahead,
bring it on.
