FOUR BRILLIANT SPOTS FOR A NYC COFFEE BREAK
FINDERS KEEPERS JUMPSUIT / GAS BIJOUX BRACELET / MARC BY MARC JACOBS WATCH / NORDENSTAM RING / WEAREARROW RING
Fashion weeks are in all their glory and glamour also take up a lot of energy, why I always try and savour a good coffee break. Maybe four, but moving on.. I trained as a barista age 16, and went on to spend a lot of my time working in coffee shops in Copenhagen, and I'll have to admit it, that if I can be called a snob in any area, it's coffee. Simply because a bad cuppa will put a frown on my face, so when I find a place that does it well with a good roast, I stick to it. During my week in NY there were four coffee shops that made me come back, so here's my list!
150 PRINCE STREET, NEW YORK, NY 10012
Known for their delicious yogurt pots, they also offer a brilliant cup of coffee right in the middle of SoHo. After snooping up on these guys on their website, I was happy to find out they only source natural ingredients (yay!) and the site is full of recipes!
19 KENMARE STREET, NEW YORK, NY 10012
When we made it to the Butcher's Daughter, I was starving, after having spent all morning photographing backstage. Finding The Butcher's Daughter was a sweet move from the universe, serving extremely delicious vegetarian meals and a coffee for the road.
164 MOTT STREET, NEW YORK, NY 10013
Okay. Now listen to me closely. You might have entered this place, craving for a caffeine kick, but I'm here to tell you, that that's not what you want. You'll want Two Hands' vegan chocolate milkshake. And you'll want it again.
781 FULTON STREET, BROOKLYN, NY
Unfortunately I was too groggy each morning to picture this, but if you're going to NYC, I can recommend locating myself in close proximity to these guys as I did. They indeed know how to make coffee that'll get you up and running in the morning and it may quite possibly the best coffee I had whilst in New York, so if you're Brooklyn bound, don't skip this place!
