WESTMINSTER WANDERS

ALL IN GOOD TIME

There's an instant kick of adrenaline when you move to a new city, and in the pursuit of learning about your new local area, those historic landmarks that shape the skyline sometimes get saved for later. Now, mind you, I have passed Big Ben in many elusive and much appreciated moments in the time I've lived in vibrant London. However, intentionally pursuing those historic London spots fully adapting to the always classy mindset of a tourist is another thing entirely. Whether you're from the city originally or as with me, you've been adopted into it somewhere in between, every now and then it's a huge load of fun being the tourist shouting "'Ello guv'ner" from a double decker and hitting the pub for fish and chips.

5 AMAZING COFFEE SHOPS IN LONDON

Framboise-Fashion-5-Amazing-Coffee-shops-Barber-London-Parlour

MY LONDON SELECTION

It's finally here! The first part of my London Coffee Shop guide!
You'll know me by now, I like my coffees, and I like them iced. And that's all year around.. Counting as one of London's many self-employed, it's nice if not absolutely necessary to get out of the house every now and then and cafés and coffee shops can offer the perfect space for work, socialising and let's not forget the art of coffee making. So my dear friends, new as old, after 3 years of jumping around London with my laptop, slurping those iced coffees down as I go, I feel like I have something to say on the subject and I'm more than happy to share. So please, join me as I go to 5 of my favourite spots here in London, and although I fear the cliffhanger will be given away too soon, there will be more café guides coming soon!

ATTENDANT
79 GREAT EASTERN STREET, LONDON EC2A
Located in both Fitzrovia and Hoxton, here's a coffee shop passionate about their trade and brilliant food. Previously at Chiltern Firehouse, the Attendant chef creates magic in the kitchen.

Soho Grind offers the perfect spot for a lunchtime escape.
(if there's potato and leek soup, don't think twice!)

SOHO GRIND
19 BEAK STREET, LONDON W1F 9RP
Although my French hasn't improved much beyond 'framboise', this counts for one of my top spots to go for a coffee in London. Their blend is one of my favourites, and you're lucky to find their chain a few places in town, extending to Holborn and Shoreditch Grind.

BARBER & PARLOUR
64-66 REDCHURCH STREET, LONDON E2 7DP

Not only will you find a good coffee and a great bowl of granola here, but Barber & Parlour also combines their charming space with grooming options for him and her. Whether you need your beard trimmed (am I right, ladies?) or a manicure, it's all here. In the same building as the Electric Cinema, now, who could ask for more?

THE HIVE OF VYNER STREET

286-290 CAMBRIDGE HEATH ROAD
A recently discovered East London Gem, who with their organic ethos and on point coffee has become a new favourite. Only a skip and a jump away from Broadway Market, which is an absolutely vibrant place to be on Saturdays.

Brilliant options for oganic and clean eating
(those coffees excluded..) at The Hive in East  London.

COUNTER ALBION
64-66 REDCHURCH ST, LONDON E2 7DP
Not only a photogenic favourite, but this place had me raving about a cauliflower almond soup for ages. With a colourful and exciting lunch buffet, this one is definitely worth a visit and perfect for dates catching up with friends.

HOPE YOU ENJOY!

THE ACTIVE TRACK

Now, I'm a firm believer that a healthy body consists of equal parts broccoli and equal parts chocolate. Speaking from experience, my body will simply protest if either aren't a part of my daily diet. As with anything, I believe a balanced diet is the key, furthermore it is a scientific fact that the most immediate way to improve your overall health is by exercise.

I'm really excited to be teaming up on this feature with JD Sports' new womens range Pink Soda Sport. With their holistic view on leading a healthy, active life, the collection acts as a motivator for me to get the wheels (read: trainers) running again. Mind you, due to a knee injury that came after a dance performance, I've had to do a lot of experimentation in finding the right way to get my body moving and feeling good in it. A weekly run and a daily home practice doing yoga has me constantly challenging and enjoying my limits. As mentioned earlier this week, I've jumped on a 30 days of Yoga right here, and it is the highlight of my day! You will be able to follow my journey and lifestyle over the coming months on Pink Soda Sports' hub and on my Instagram, and please don't hesitate in sharing makes you feel good in your body!

SUMMER MIND

SEA NEW YORK TOP / REISS CULOTTES / VINTAGE BOOTS

Whilst I wouldn't usually describe myself as in a trapped state of mind, I do acknowledge, that I'm currently trapped in summer-mode. Perhaps it's the fact that London days are getting longer and lighter, but then it could also be the fact that I've let the air out of my heater, and my entire home is now toasty again!

I'm so excited for this month. My tax-return is my current frenemy, but with my next trip to New York only being a little bit over a month away, and people I love coming to visit me in London this month, my mood simply cannot be brought down.

I HOPE YOU'RE DOING AMAZING

EAST END HOMERUN

VINTAGE LEATHER JACKET / VINTAGE JUMPER / SEA NEW YORK SKIRT / KEEPSAKE TROUSERS / NIKE SNEAKERS / MAXMARA LOAFERS

From blue silk gowns to soggy sneakers that were once whilst posing up against some lucky potato's Volkswagen, you guessed it. I'm home! Home where a parking spot is the price of a mansion, home where there's only one correct answer to what the weather's like and home where the world meets to discuss politics, create art and eat fish and chips.

You have probably heard me complaining more about my cross shower than you have heard me speak about fashion weeks, but even so, it's good to be back and it's good to get started on the projects ahead. My current mantra to get me through the last patch of winter (it doesn't quite feel like winter though, does it?), is cookies and yoga. I'm always one to carry 5 bags, with various lenses, cameras, my laptop, refreshments (just in case) and chargers, so bringing my yoga mat* would probably tip me over for good. Going through the glorious youtube, I came across Yoga with Adriene sometime last year, and it's really brilliant for people of all levels - definitely check her out if yoga floats your boat!

HAVE A GREAT START TO YOUR WEEK
